Since a certificate does not contain the replacement value of a diamond it is very important the appraisal contains this information. If your diamond is lost or stolen the insurance company will use the information from the appraisal for the replacement. If the information in the appraisal is incomplete then you might not receive the same quality diamond as a replacement.
